Pound Cake

1 c. butter melted and cooled
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 c. sour cream
2 c. flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt


Topping
1 c. chopped pecans (the first time I made this I only
had sliced almonds on hand so I used those and
have used them every time since)
1 tsp cinnamon
6 Tbsp sugar

Directions:
Mix together all of the main ingredients until smooth. In
a separate bowl, mix together the topping ingredients.
Mix half of the topping ingredients into the batter. Pour
batter into two greased 9'' cake pans. Sprinkle the
remaining topping on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-
45 minutes.
