Mom's Classic Clam Chowder Recipe
1 cup onion, finely chopped 1 cup celery, finely chopped 2 cups potatoes, finely diced 2 cans (6 1/2 0z. each) minced clams 3/4 cup margarine 3/4 cup flour 1 qt. half and half 1 1/2 teaspoon salt pepper Directions: Drain juice from clams and add water to cover vegetables. Simmer until barely tender. Melt butter, add flour and milk to make white sauce. Add undrained vegetables and clams and heat through. Season to taste. Number Of Servings:8 |
