Poppy Seed Cake



Tyson requests this EVERY year for his birthday.      Allison Hottinger

3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 1/4 cups sugar
1/4 cup poppy seeds

3 eggs
1 1/2 cups oil
1 1/2 tsp almond extract
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsp butter flavoring
1 1/4 cups milk

Glaze:
1/2 cup orange juice
3/4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp butter flavoring
1/2 tsp almond extract
(powdered sugar for dusting)

Directions:
Mix dry ingredients, and set aside. Beat eggs, oil, milk and
the flavorings. Add dry ingredients and beat 1-2 minutes. Do
not over beat. Pour into a very well greased and floured
bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Mix all glaze ingredients together until smooth.  Brush on cake
while it is VERY warm. All of the glaze should be used. Sift a
narrow ring of powdered sugar over the top of glazed cake.
