The dressing is also really good drizzled over chopped tomatoes and cucumbers with feta sprinkled on top - one of our favorite summer side dishes.

Spinach Salad: 1 head romaine 1 small bag spinach 1/4 lb. grated mozzarella 1 can mandarin oranges (drained) 1/2 c. sliced sugar almonds 1/2 lb. bacon, crumbled Dressing: 3/4 c. oil 3/4 tsp salt 1/3 c. white vinegar 1/3 c. sugar 3/4 tsp. poppy seed 3/4 tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp. dried mustard Directions: Blend all dressing ingredients in blender. Best if refrigerated over night. Put on salad right before serving. |
