These are basically a baked potato, but a little fancier. I have done it both ways, peeling the potato, or not. It's kind of fun having them peeled, but I probably won't peel them again when doing this recipe, I like to get in and out of the kitchen, and peeling just takes longer (plus, takes away the healthy skins). I've also just used regular russet potatoes, and it worked just fine. Rebecca Child
10 red potatoes 1/4 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon thyme 1/2 teaspoon marjoram 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1 bay leaf 3 tablespoons butter Directions: Scrub potatoes. Mix flour, thyme, marjoram, salt and pepper in large plastic bag. Add potatoes and shake until covered with flour mixture. Place in greased baking dish. Add garlic powder and bay leaf. Dot with butter. Cover tightly and bake at 450 degrees for 40 minutes or until potatoes are tender inside and crisp outside. |
