1 1/4 c. hot water 1 c. oats 1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 2 eggs Pour water over oats in bow and let stand. Cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Add vanilla and eggs. Add rest of dry ingredients. Mix well, adding the oats. Bake in 9x13 inch greased pan at 350 degrees until toothpick comes out clean, 35-40 minutes. Topping: 1/2 c. soft butter 1 c. brown sugar 2 c. chopped pecans 6 Tbsp. cream 1 1/2 c. coconut Mix well. Spread on hot cake. Put under broiler until it begins to brown. |
