30 min cinnamon rolls


Quick, easy, good.      Allison Hottinger

1 ¾ cup water
¼ cup sugar
3 Tbsp. rapid-rise yeast
2 eggs
½ cup oil
1 Tbsp. salt
5 ½ - 6 cups flour
1/2 cup butter, softened
brown sugar
cinnamon

Frosting:
4 oz. cream cheese
2 Tbsp. butter
4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of milk


Directions:
Preheat oven to 400
Combine water, sugar and yeast in bottom of mixer. Let sit
for 15 minutes
Add eggs, oil and salt and mix
Add flour one cup at a time and let mixer knead dough for 10
minutes
Flour working surface and roll dough into a rectangle about ¼
inch thick
Smear softened butter over the dough leaving a 1 inch margin
Sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar mixture
Roll up dough and seal edges
Cut rolls using a piece of dental floss
Spray baking sheets with Pam and place rolls on pan
Place pan on warm oven and let rise for 10 minutes
Bake for 10 minutes at 400

Frosting:
Cream butter and cream cheese
Add vanilla and powdered sugar. Mix.
Add milk in small amounts as needed to get the right frosting
consistency.
Drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls

Orange Roll Variation: After rolling out dough on floured
surface, spread with softened butter and then mix the
following and smear over the top:

½ cup sugar
1 Tbsp. orange juice
1 tsp. orange rind

Bake at the same temp and time as above; ice rolls while
warm with the following icing:

1 ½ cup powdered sugar
3 Tbsp. orange juice
½ tsp. orange rind
