Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons hot water
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup quick cooking oats

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Cream shortening, butter, brown sugar, white sugar and peanut butter. Beat in eggs one at a time. Disolve baking
soda in hot water. Add to peanut butter mixture and add salt. Stir in flour and oats. Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for
10-15 minutes, just until edges are light brown. Don't overbake! Very tasty!!!!
